Doctoral student in Communication and Activism at the Universidade Lusófona do Porto and Master in Communication Science at the Universidade de São Paulo (USP), she is a Journalist (UMESP) and a Specialist in Social Journalism (PUC-SP) as well as in Community Education (Anhembi Morumbi).
For the last 20 years she has been working in the socio-environmental field, not only producing content but also managing and planning projects related to education, youth, community communication and social mobilization for several social organizations, corporate institutes and the government in Brazil.
In the educational field, she trains teachers, public managers and social organizations based on Communication and Education principles through in loco initiatives and distance education as well as develops new courses and pedagogic materials.
She is partner and director of the consulting Estúdio Cais - Projetos de Interesse Público, coordinator of the game Mobilization in the Education and the responsible journalist of the magazine Casa Comum. She is also founding partner and director of the ABPEducom (Associação Brasileira de Pesquisadores e Profissionais em Educomunicação) and author of the book "Galera em Movimento - Uma turma que agita a transformação social do Brasil (2007)".
