In the last month of April, CICANT established a cooperation protocol with Humanitas, from which emerged a strategic partnership with APPACDM Lx, a Non-Governmental Organization driven to the inclusion and full citizenship of people with Intellectual Disability.
This partnership has been developed through the collaboration of APPACDM Lx users in creative processes, aimed at creating games that promote the accessibility and media inclusion of this population.
The developed activities include tight cooperation with the Bachelor's Degree in Videogames, for the creation of games and controllers, to be openly disseminated online, through OPERAT website. This includes both digital games and analog games, targeting different themes and the increased accessibility to cultural products.
The generated evidence from these procedures based different publications and communications, including The Pedagogical Value of Creating Accessible Games: A Case Study with Higher Education Students, published in Multimodal Technologies and Interaction (Q2 for Computer Networks, Communications, and Human-Computer Interaction).
