Conceição Costa, the portuguese coordinator of the EPIC-WE, a Horizon Europe project, presented a paper on the 19th Iberian Conference on Information Systems and Technologies (CISTI), held between the 25th and 28th of June 2024, at University of Salamanca, Spain. The purpose of this conference is to gather knowledge, new perspectives and innovation in the Information Systems and Technologies field, with all accepted papers to be indexed in WoS, Scoups, EI, INSPEC and Google Scholar.
With the title “Game Jams and Game-making with a Societal and Cultural Agenda for Youth - A 20-year Systematic Literature Review”, the paper, presented during the morning of the first day, explored the role of video games and game jams to enhance youth participation and engagement with, through and for culture. The theme aligns with the purpose of the EPIC-WE project, which focuses on developing new models and design kits for cultural collaboration, empowering youth participation in the cultural world.
