FEMglocal preliminary results presented at Lusocom 2022

Ana Sofia Pereira, Post-Doc Fellow of the research project FEMglocal - Glocal feminist movements: interactions and contradictions, funded by the Foundation for Science and Technology (PTDC/COM-CSS/4049/2021), participated in LUSOCOM’s XIV Congress on October 26 with the paper “Glocal feminist activisms and the media: An analysis of the #MeToo movement in Portugal” [Ativismos feministas glocais e média: Uma análise do movimento #MeToo em Portugal], coauthored by Carla Cerqueira and Célia Taborda (respectively PI and Co-PI of the aforementioned research project). In her presentation at Casa do Livro (Porto), Ana discussed the expression of the #MeToo movement in Portugal and how it was mediatized in the country, particularly in the three national newspapers with the highest paid digital circulation between 2017 (#MeToo’s inception) and 2022: Público, Jornal de Notícias and Expresso.
