Read Twice Capacity Building event in Berlin

On the 27 and 28 February, CICANT team participated in the first Capacity Building event of the Read Twice project. The event took place in Berlin, at the BMW Foundation, and brought together around 30 young media practitioners from Bulgaria, Croatia and Romania. The two days – organized by partner Alliance4Europe - were dedicated to exploring the basis of disinformation, discovering a set of tools and resources that can be used to tackle disinformation and training others to be agents against fake news.

The young media practitioners also had the opportunity of meeting journalists from Deutsche Welle and visit Der Spiegel’s newsroom. These two sessions were moments when young people could meet senior journalists and learn more about their realities, routines, and fact-checking procedures.

At the end of March, these young practitioners to head for the city of Porto where the Portuguese team will organize the second Capacity Building event of the Read Twice project.
