Alexandra Figueira

Alexandra Figueira has a degree in Journalism (Escola Superior de Jornalismo) and a PhD in Communication Sciences (Universidade do Minho, with a thesis about Organizational Communication and Social Economy entities). Her main research interest is Communication and Territory, specifically Regional Cohesion, Local Development, European Cohesion Policy or the relationship between the North of Portugal and Galiza – areas in which she extensively worked on as a journalist. Other research interests are: Journalism, Social Economy and Corporate Social Responsibility.

In addition, since 2018, she teaches a wide array of courses in Ciências da Comunicação and in Comunicação Aplicada, in Universidade Lusófona do Porto.
