The Alapraia School Cluster (AEA) was established in July 2003. As an inclusive school, it welcomes students with blindness and low vision, as well as students who are deaf or with hearing impairment. It is a reference cluster for Early Childhood Intervention.
The cluster consists of 3 campuses: two classrooms for the 2nd and 3rd cycles, one for Structured Teaching and another for Multiple Disabilities, located in the main school, and one Multiple Disabilities classroom at A. H. Oliveira Marques Primary School and Kindergarten, for the 1st cycle.
The cluster comprises five primary schools with kindergarten - Hortênsia Diogo Correia Primary School and Kindergarten (São Pedro de Estoril), A. H. Oliveira Marques Primary School and Kindergarten (Areias, S. João do Estoril), Caparide Primary School and Kindergarten (São Domingos de Rana), Manique Primary School and Kindergarten (Alcabideche), and Almada Negreiros Primary School and Bicesse Kindergarten (Bicesse, Alcabideche), as well as Alapraia Middle School, the headquarters of the cluster.
