TeaMLit - Report Reveals Key Insights into Teacher Education and Training in Media and Information Literacy in Europe
The Teacher Education and Training in Media and Information Literacy (TeaMLit) project has just published its first report. This study offers a comprehensive analysis of current practices, obstacles, and opportunities in teacher education and training in the realm of media and information literacy (MIL). The report delves into the pivotal findings from various regions and countries, including Ireland, Portugal, Belgium-Flanders, the German-speaking Community in Belgium, and the Baden-Württemberg Land in Germany. It also includes insights from an international review, offering a global perspective on teacher education and training in media and information literacy. One of the national initiatives highlighted by the report is Lusófona University's Master in Media and Information Literacy and Digital Citizenship.
CICANT research Maria José Brites is a consultant of the project and CICANT is currently a member of the Media and Learning Association, the consortium leader. The researcher recently joined a consortium meeting that took place in Zagreb and that intended to share with partners and consultants the main results of the report.
