Title: Media education teachers in Czechia: Different approaches to digital media in classes

Abstact: In Czechia, 90% of primary school teachers acknowledge the importance of media education, says People in Need report from 2023. However, the rapidly evolving digital media landscape brings new challenges for teachers. To gain insight into the experiences and pedagogical approaches employed by media education teachers, I conducted a series of semi-structured interviews. In the webinar, I will present the preliminary results of my research. Moreover, I will provide an overview of the distinctive aspects of media education in the Czech context, setting the presented results in a broader framework.
