Porto University Center hosted opening session of the PhD in Communication and Activisms
The inaugural session of the PhD in Communication and Activisms 23/24 took place on the 30th of October at the Lusófona University - Porto University Center.
Professor Susana de Andrés, researcher in Communication Ethics at the University of Valladolid in Spain, was the guest speaker at the session with a talk entitled "Comunicación radical. Activismos y miradas”.
The doctoral programme, directed by professor and researcher Carla Cerqueira, focuses on communication themes and issues linked to research into Social Mobilisations, Networks and Activisms, Digital Ecologies, Civic Cultures, New Expressions of Communication and Communication for Development, as well as other related themes from both classic and current communication studies. This edition counts 7 students that are now beginning their research journeys.
