On November 29th, at 8:00 PM, via Zoom, Sónia Lamy, researcher from the FEMglocal – Glocal feminist movements: interactions and contradictions research project, funded by the Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT) through national funds (PTDC/COM-CSS/4049/2021 / DOI 10.54499/PTDC/COM-CSS/4049/2021), was invited to participate in an open class on “Journalism, Communication, and Culture”.
This session, part of the Media and Society master’s program at the School of Education and Social Sciences of the Polytechnic Institute of Portalegre, featured Sónia Lamy, from the Lusófona University of Lisbon, who explored the topic “Feminist movements in the news”. Patricia Salles, from the Federal University of Paraná, also contributed to the discussion by exploring the concept of “Cultural mediation”. Together, they addressed fundamental issues within this study cycle, sharing valuable insights with future professionals.
