On April 13, at 3 p.m., the Amphitheatre of the Museum of Contemporary Art / Centro Cultural de Belém hosted a conference led by Teresa Maia e Carmo. The theme for the 2024 program focuses on thinking about the margins of freedom in all its aspects, from the visual arts to cinema, architecture, the concept of the political and culture in general. In the year marking the 50th anniversary of April 25, the program did not overlap with the celebrations, but proposed a reflection on how, in periods of restricted freedom, individuals and communities reacted to the limits imposed.
Through the "Other Spaces" conference cycle, a collaboration between the Centro Cultural de Belém, the School of Communication, Architecture, Arts and Information Technologies (ECATI) and the Center for Research in Applied Communication, Culture and New Technologies (CICANT) of the Universidade Lusófona - Centro Universitário de Lisboa, a diversified dialogue on academic and scientific production was established with the community, with a view to disseminating knowledge.
