Between the 2nd and 3rd of May, took place in Bergen, Norway, the kick-off meeting of the project DIGcapabilities, a groundbreaking initiative aimed at fostering digital capabilities among youth, especially those in vulnerable situations.
Supported by the Research Council of Norway, with NORCE Norwegian Research Centre leading the charge, along with partners such as Lusófona University, Stiftinga Vestlandsforsking, and The Open University, Project DIGcapabilities is dedicated to addressing a critical gap in our understanding: How can we empower young people, particularly those not in school, not employed, or not in training (NEET), to leverage digital technologies effectively?
For Lusofona University, CICANT, Maria José Brites and Teresa Sofia Castro are the representing partners.
Over the next years, Project DIGcapabilities will delve into research, innovation, and practical interventions to equip youth with the digital skills they need to thrive in today's society.
