In light of the first time that the National Day of People with Intellectual Disabilities is celebrated, the No Barriers To Employment Project launched on May 10th the project’s website, book “No Barriers: Strategies and Best Practices for the Employment of Individuals with Intellectual Disability” and training materials.
On the website, it will be possible to find information regarding the project as partners, outputs, news, and contacts.
The book is made up of short chapters by different authors, including members of the project’s consortium and from the COST Action a-STEP: advancing Social inclusion through Technology and EmPowerment - CA19104 and is divided into two parts: the first refers to the need analysis carried out by the partners about the work inclusion of People with Intellectual Disabilities in Italy, Portugal, Sweden, and Türkiye; and the second part of the book relates to the training program developed based on the issues identified in the need analysis. The book was edited by Carla Sousa, Júlia Pereira and Cátia Casimiro, published by Edições Universitárias Lusófonas and co-organised by the No Barriers Project, under the European Union's Erasmus+ Program. The full book is available in open access here. Soon Italian, Portuguese, and Turkish versions will be made available.
Lastly, the training materials were developed based on the book launched, which does not dispense with consulting the contents of the book in its entirety. The training materials are available in open access here.
