Mariana Scalabrin Müller, a postdoctoral researcher at CICANT, led a workshop on online semi-structured interviews at this year’s ECREA Summer School, as part of the YouNDigital project. The event took place at Roskilde University, Denmark, from August 5th to 11th.
The workshop, inspired by the fieldwork conducted in the YouNDigital project, aimed to familiarize participants with qualitative methodology strategies tailored to the challenges of digital research environments. This workshop was selected through an open call by the ECREA Summer School organizers.
In addition to the workshop, Mariana participated in four feedback sessions on student projects and was one of the speakers on the panel "Things You Never Dare to Ask." Reflecting on her experience, she also stated that: "Participating in the ECREA Summer School was a fantastic experience. It was a great pleasure to lead the workshop for such engaged students and explore innovative projects in the feedback sessions."
Mariana was the only researcher from Portugal to lead a workshop at the international event that focuses on discussing contemporary issues in communication studies.
