The 10th European Communication Research and Education Association (ECREA) European Communication Conference (ECC) will be held in Ljubljana from 24 to 27 September 2024, under the theme "Communication and Social (Dis)order." This year’s event will explore the complex dynamics of communication in the face of political, economic, environmental, health, and technological disruptions, challenging participants to reflect on the (dis)order and its unpredictable impact on society.
Over the four days, CICANT's team will actively engage in workshops, panel discussions, and poster sessions, showcasing the results of several ongoing research projects. This year’s delegation consists of around 20 researchers, each presenting their work in various thematic areas.
In addition, several CICANT researchers are running for coordination roles within ECREA’s thematic sections, including Audience and Reception Studies, Children, Youth and Media, and Digital Culture. The elections will take place during the conference, marking an important moment for the leadership of these key areas. In addition, researcher Ana Jorge is a member of the ECREA Election Committee.
