The No Barriers To Employment Project launched the Italian and Turkish translations of it's e-book.
The Italian version, Nessun Ostacolo: Strategie e Buone Pratiche per L’inserimento Lavorativo di Persone con Disabilità Intellettiva, and the Turkish version, Engel Yok: Zihinsel Engelli Bireylerin İstihdamına Yönelik Stratejiler ve En İyi Uygulamalar, are now available for open download. Both are translations of the book No Barriers: Strategies and Best Practices for the Employment of Individuals with Intellectual Disability, initially published on 10 May 2024 to commemorate the first National Day for People with Intellectual Disabilities. A Portuguese version is also available.
The book is composed of brief chapters authored by members of the project consortium and contributors from the COST Action a-STEP (Advancing Social Inclusion through Technology and Empowerment - CA19104). It is organised into two main sections:
Needs Analysis - addresses the work inclusion of People with Intellectual Disabilities in Italy, Portugal, Sweden, and Türkiye, based on research conducted by project partners.
Training Program - presents the specialised training developed to address the challenges highlighted in the needs analysis.
Edited by Carla Sousa, Júlia Pereira, and Cátia Casimiro, and published by Edições Universitárias Lusófonas, the book is part of the No Barriers Project under the European Union's Erasmus+ Program.
