Margaryta Kulichova, Tarun Madupu, and Johnny Farah, co-founders of Lisbon’s Sound Force Studio and Lusófona University’s alumni, faculty, and staff, have been selected for the U.S. Department of State’s OneBeat Institute program. This two-week residency brings together creative entrepreneurs from Iraq, Turkey, Nigeria, Mexico, Ukraine, and Portugal to foster cross-cultural collaborations in sound and storytelling.
Founded by a multicultural team from Ukraine, India, and Lebanon, Sound Force Studio specializes in sound design for musicians, filmmakers, and media artists, with a focus on socially responsible storytelling. By centering sound and music as catalysts for social change, Sound Force Studio aims to amplify diverse voices and bridge cultural divides.
During the OneBeat Institute residency, Kulichova, Madupu, and Farah will refine their studio’s vision, develop strategic plans, and explore sustainable funding avenues while working with mentors across business, arts, technology, and education. Their selection highlights Lusófona University’s commitment to nurturing projects that make a global impact.
