The YouNDigital & Information and Communication Clubs project, born from a collaboration between the Directorate-General for Education (DGE) and the YouNDigital – Youth, News, and Digital Citizenship initiative, took its first steps in the last week of November. This initiative aims to promote media literacy and digital citizenship among young people through creative and dynamic activities.
The debut of this partnership was marked by a webinar held on November 27. During the event, the teams from the Information and Communication Clubs were challenged to actively watch and participate in the proposed activities. Among the highlights was the launch of the first challenge, presented in video and text format, focusing on the theme Media Literacy for Conscious Consumption. This topic is particularly relevant during periods like Black Friday and Christmas, when the calls for consumption demand responsible reflection.
With a comprehensive and diverse program, the project includes initiatives such as Masterclasses, Webinars, Bootcamps, Challenges in the YouNDigital Digital Newsroom, and Competitions. These activities aim to empower young people to critically engage with media and strengthen their skills in digital citizenship.
