CICANT/Lusófona University will host PerfoLab by TRANSPER from 2 to 6 February 2026, an international intensive programme bringing together students from Portugal, Italy and Spain for a week of collaborative work at the intersection of performing arts and technology.
The initiative will involve students from videogame design, acting, digital humanities and computer engineering degrees, offering a unique space for experimentation, critical thinking and creative production. The programme is structured around a Hackathon and Game Jam, encouraging interdisciplinary teams to develop prototypes and conceptual projects throughout the week.
PerfoLab’s main theme is ecology and green practices, with participants invited to reflect on the impact of digitalisation at local, national and global levels. Key challenges addressed include pollution and electronic waste, the mining of rare minerals, and the environmental consequences of e-commerce on transport and production chains. The initiative promotes entry points such as questioning technology, taking science out of the laboratory, humanising technology and exploring paths to progress.
The programme combines seminars, training sessions and workshops, totalling seven hours of seminars and three hours of workshops per day. Activities include masterclasses on technology, practices of attention, alternative controllers, media ecology, green games and guided “green walks”. On the fourth day, student groups will present their prototypes and project ideas.
Participation costs, including flights, accommodation and meals, are fully covered by the Erasmus+ project, making the programme accessible to selected students.
