European Project AI-LITERATE Launched with Kick-off Meeting in Poznań

The kickoff meeting of the Erasmus+ project AI-LITERATE took place in Poznań, Poland, from 3 to 5 December, marking the official start of the consortium's activities. Hosted by Adam Mickiewicz University, the meeting brought together the international consortium for three days of collaborative work and strategic planning.

During the meeting, project partners presented and discussed the guidelines for each work package, aligning methodologies, timelines, and responsibilities. This exchange was essential to ensure a coordinated approach to implementation and to plan the project's first events, scheduled to begin in January 2026. The meeting was attended by Lúcia Mesqueita, the project's Principal Investigator, and Margarida Santos, the Project Manager, who followed the definition of initial priorities and coordination mechanisms among partners.

The kickoff meeting represented a key milestone for AI-LITERATE, establishing the project's governance structure and roadmap for the first implementation phase. The project will also be featured at the 6th International Media Research Symposium in Rome from 4 to 6 June, where the Lusófona University team will present results from Work Package 2 on needs assessment.

AI-LITERATE – Upskilling Higher Education in the Age of Generative AI and Disinformation is a 24-month Erasmus+ project coordinated by Adam Mickiewicz University. The project aims to enhance AI literacy in higher education through the development and validation of a blended learning programme focused on the responsible, ethical, and critical use of generative AI, particularly in relation to disinformation.
