Erasmus project COMSUS - Development of sustainable communications of higher education institutions in social media had its kick-off meeting last week. Due to the current political circumstances that prevent physical mobility, the meeting which was scheduled to take place physically in Ukraine, was moved to an online format.
The project will run until August 2024.
About the project
The COMSUS project focuses on the relationship between media and communication and the environmental, social, as well as on economical dimensions of sustainability, especially addressing questions raised by the European Climate Pact (2020), the Pact for Skills (2022), and the European Skills Agenda (2020). The project aims to help HEIs staff develop more and better sustainable communication regarding social media skills and to put them to use for strengthening sustainable competitiveness, as set out in the European Green Deal. By doing this, the project aims to ensure social fairness, putting into practice the first principle of the European Pillar of Social Rights and building resilience to react to crises, based on the COVID-19 pandemic lessons.
The consortium is composed by three European Higher Education Institutions (ULusofona- Portugal, WISMAR -Germany and MUGLA - Turkey), one private school from Ukraine - Kyiv Business School and the leader Fundacja im. Zofi, from Poland. University Lusófona's participation is in line with the strategy of collaborating on projects aimed at building the capacity of universities (students, teaching, and non-teaching staff) in the European space in their different areas of activity.
