The recently published report resulting from a joint work of the OberCom (Communication Observatory) research team and the consortium IBERIFIER - Iberian Digital Media Research & Fact-check Hub: Media Literacy - Conceptual Horizons and Mapping of Actors and Initiatives in Portugal and Worldwide focuses on the concept of literacy and maps the actors and projects dedicated to media literacy in Portugal and abroad. The project YouNDigital - Youth, News and Digital Citizenship (PTDC/COM-OUT/0243/2021) is one of the various initiatives highlighted in the report.
The document seeks, from a comparative analysis between the various projects presented, to give specialists and general public knowledge in an area considered extremely important for the development of contemporary societies. The scientific coordination is by Gustavo Cardoso, Vania Baldi and Vitor Tomé. The researcher Vitor Tomé (Universidade Autónoma de Lisboa, CIES-ISCTE-Instituto Universitário de Lisboa) is one of YouNDigital's consultants.
