FEMglocal's researchers at the conference "Communication and Media: Body, Gender, and Activism"
On May 15th at 6:00 PM, the online conference titled “Comunicação e Media: Corpo, Género e Ativismos” (“Communication and Media: Body, Gender, and Activism”) took place as part of the Master’s Degree in Women’s Studies - Gender, Citizenship, and Development at Universidade Aberta (MEM-UAb). The conference featured two esteemed members from the FEMglocal - Glocal Feminist Movements: Interactions and Contradictions research project (financed by the Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT) through national funds - PTDC/COM-CSS/4049/2021): Carla Cerqueira (PI) and Maria João Cunha.
The conference delved into engaging discussions on various topics, including feminisms, communication, media, representation, and the visibility (or invisibility) of women. It proved to be an enlightening and thought-provoking meeting.
