From May 22 to 26 2023, four students from the Visual Arts Bachelor's Degree (Beatriz Varela, Cybelle Aznar, Marta Rosa, and Pedro Valadares) and two teachers (Orlando Franco and Teresa Palma Rodrigues), were in Creteil (France) to participate in another activity of the CICANT's PandemiArt project (2021-1-FR01-KA220-SCH-000031526).
The event, hosted by Collège Simone Beauvoir, gathered groups from France, Poland, Romania, Latvia and Turkey. Together they created two mural paintings on the impact of COVID and made several cultural visits to museums and emblematic places in Paris.
At the end of this experience, which fostered relationships and exchanges, the students stressed the importance of the connections they created with young people from other countries and cultures in their academic development.
About PandemiArt
PandemiArt intends to deal with traditional art practices and applications of digital art from an inclusive perspective. The team aims to create artistic products with digital content by taking art from an innovative and contemporary perspective as a means of free expression of the individual. The idea of art and art education will play an active role in creating visual awareness, positively drawing attention to the effects and protective measures of Covid-19 under social responsibility.
Considering the social responsibility duty of educational institutions, the idea of creating a transnational awareness against the pandemic has reinforced the partnership that is in the heart of the PandemiArt project. Project partners accommodate different types of institutions which will ensure that education is handled in a wide-ranging manner.
