COFAC, Cooperativa de Animação e Formação Cultural crl, announces a call for applications for a Graduate Research Fellowship in the scope of the project "Debaqi: Factors for the promotion of dialogue and healthy behaviors in online school communities (DSAIPA/DS/0102/2019)", supported through national funds in the budget of the Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT) – and developed in the research unit CICANT - Research Center for Applied Communication, Culture and New Technologies.
- Applicable legislation: Legal Regime of the Research Grant Holder Statute (Law no. 40/2004, of August 18, republished in annex to Decree-Law no. 202/2012, of August 27, and amended by Decree-Law no. 123/2019, of August 28); and Regulation no. 950/2019, of December 16, which approves the FCT Research Grant Regulations – 2019.
- Scientific Area: Artificial Intelligence and Data Science.
- Principal Investigator: Manuel Marques-Pita.
- Duration of the Fellowship: 8 months, without the possibility of renewal.
- Amount of the grant and method of payment: 835,98€, according to the FCT grant table. Voluntary social insurance is foreseen.
- Host institution: CICANT – Research Center for Applied Communication, Culture, and New Technologies.
- Supervision and activities: The fellow will collaborate in activities related to the integration of metrics regarding collective behaviors of young people participating in online conversations, API development, data visualization and intelligent recommendation algorithms.
- Admission requirements: Applicants must meet the eligibility conditions set out in Articles 6 and 9 of the FCT I.P. Research Grant Regulations (2019). Candidates with degrees in Computer Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science or equivalent are eligible.
