Cássia Ayres has been working with communication and sustainable development for more than 18 years. She is currently the Communication for Development (C4D) Manager at UNICEF in Afghanistan.
Previously, Cássia has worked in the development area for the United Nations, plus public and private sectors in Portugal, Thailand, Finland, England, Angola and Brazil.
Her research is about the use of digital media for political participation towards social changes amongst young people in Brazil. She holds a Master's in Sustainable Development from Aston University (England), an Advanced Studies in Communication for Development at Malmö University (Sweden) and a PhD in Communication for Development Studies, from Lusófona Porto.
