Vítor de Sousa holds a PhD in Communication Sciences (Culture Theory), at University of Minho, with the thesis "Da 'portugalidade' à lusofonia" [“From ‘Portugality’ to Lusophony”], he has a master's degree (Communication Sciences-Information and Journalism, with the thesis "Higher education, teatcher training and Media Education”) and a graduation in the same area. Among his research interests are issues around National Identity, Memory, Cultural Sudies, Media Education, Journalism, Hate Speech and Theories of Journalism. He has articles published in Australia, USA, Ecuador, Spain, Colombia, Brazil, East-Timor and Portugal. So far, he has participated in about 90 conferences, congresses, workshops, seminars and talks, with communication, most of them admitted through peer review. Read full bio here.
