João Marques Carrilho (Jonas Runa)

Artist, Researcher, University Professor His artwork was presented at the Museo Guggenheim Bilbao, 55th and 56th Venice Biennale, 798 Art District (Beijing), ARoS Aarhus Kunstmuseum, Galerie Scheffel (Frankfurt), Logos Foundation (Ghent), Museo de Arte Contemporáneo (Santiago do Chile), Théâtre de la Ville (Paris), Arnold Schoenberg Hall (The Hague), Yorkshire Sculpture Park (UK), Fundação Calouste Gulbenkian (Lisbon), Centro Cultural de Belém (Lisbon), Casa da Música (Porto) and Culturgest (Lisbon), among other venues. He studied Physics and Mathematics at Instituto Superior Técnico, and has a BA in Sonology by the Royal Conservatory of the Hague (Netherlands).

He holds a PhD in Science and Technology of the Arts by Universidade Católica Portuguesa, and a CEEC (CEECIND/02302/2017) by Faculdadede de Ciências Sociais e Humanas/Universidade Nova de Lisboa. He is currently assistant professor at Universidade Lusófona de Humanidades e Tecnologias, and the Co-PI of the project TEPe - Technologically Expanded Performance (PTDC/ART-PER/31263/2017).
