Lkhagvadulam (Dulmaa) Purev-Ochir is a Mongolian writer and director. After graduating with a BA in film direction, she interned at Mongolian National Broadcaster where she trained under renowned Mongolian filmmaker Jigjidsuren Gombojav. She taught at the Mongolian School of Film, Radio, and Television, as well as The Institute of Cinematography.
She graduated with MA in screenwriting from KinoEyes European Filmmaking Masters in 2018. She is currently pursuing her PhD in screenwriting. Her feature debut project “Ze” attended the Torino Script Lab 2019, where it won CNC Special Mention, and Locarno Open Doors Lab 2019.
She was invited to the Locarno Open Doors Hub 2020, where her feature film project won the Open Doors Production Grant. Her latest short film Mountain Cat, based on “Ze”, was chosen for Cannes Shorts in Competition 2020.
