Nuno Cintra Torres is a retired high-level corporate executive with a diversified experience in print media, broadcast radio and TV, and pay TV.

Torres held positions and functions in: TV audience and market research; technological innovation and business project development in audio-visual contents distribution and consumption; TV channels creation and management; production, direction and authorship of radio, TV programmes and documentaries; corporate branding and political communication; corporate sustainability. Torres is an entrepreneur. He is a pioneer of pay TV and co-founded start-ups in the tourism and health sectors.

Torres has integrated several EU funded projects as the team leader or research member focusing on entrepreneurship skills for film students and museum audience development. His current research is on management skills for digital media creators; technological change and the future of news; museum audience development.

Torres studied Fine Arts at the University of Lisbon and Film at the University of Stockholm. He obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Liverpool (homologated by Universidade Nova de Lisboa). He is Specialist in Media and Audio-Visuals Production at Universidade Lusófona, Lisbon.

Torres is an active columnist, correspondent and analyst with many hundreds of published articles in national and foreign newspapers, magazines and newsletters.

He is the author of three books: on political communication (Televisão Política, 1996) and on broadcast TV and pay TV (Televisão, o Nosso Medium Preferido, 2011 and Impactos ZON na Economia Portuguesa, 2013).
