Stella Carneiro is a Brazilian film director, writer and visual artist from Recife, Pernambuco who has worked on over thirty short-films, a few Brazilian features and television series for some of Brazil’s biggest film production companies: Gullane, Paris Entertainment and REC Produtores. Stella graduated from her B.A in Film and Social Communication at Fundação Armando Alvares Penteado (FAAP) in São Paulo (2016), has a Master in Arts with specialisation in Screenwriting from Universidade Lusófona in Lisbon, Napier University in Edinburgh and Baltic Film and Media School in Tallinn, as part of the Erasmus+ Masters Program Kino Eyes – The European Fiction Masters (2021). Stella is currently enrolled as a PhD student in Media Arts and Communication at Universidade Lusófona, where she is tutoured by Bracha L. Ettinger, painter, psychoanalyst and philosopher in the field of Aesthetics, Feminist Studies, and Arts.
