The video game "Space Adventure: defend the planet", developed as part of the GBL4deaf project, was presented on 4 December at the Games and Learning Alliance Conference - Dublin, as part of the shortlist for the "Academic" category.
Space adventure: Defend the planet! is a research-based game aimed at supporting a more inclusive education in primary maths for deaf and hard of hearing (DHH) students, as well as to their hearing peers. More information about the game is available on the project website.
About the project
The GBL4deaf research aimed to assess the potential of digital games in teaching mathematics to deaf children, students of the 2nd and 3rd cycle of Basic Education.
