Participants of the 2nd EPIC-WE Game Jam presented their games to Filipe Daniel, Óbidos Mayor.
During the final day of the 2nd Cultural Game Jam of the EPIC-WE project, held in Óbidos from 29th April to 2nd May, the 45 participants had the exciting opportunity to present their games to Óbidos mayor, Filipe Daniel.
The 14 games produced by students from Josefa de Óbidos Highschool and Lusófona University reflected the theme of biodiversity and sustainability in Óbidos Lagoon, a regional landmark, exploring the creative relationship between learning and game-making.
This game jam, which brought together 62 people, is the continuity of the innovative partnership between Óbidos and the EPIC-WE project, which started with the 1st Cultural Game jam held in February 2024, and will continue next year.
At the end of the presentation, Filipe Daniel, Óbidos mayor, mentioned: “I am excited about the games produced and I emphasize that this collaboration has proven to be fundamental in bringing to life the potential of video games to discover the culture, history and heritage of Óbidos”.
