CICANT will host a guest lecture - organized by Early Visual Media Lab - by architect and photo historian Nuno Borges de Araújo on May 7, focusing on the role of women in Portuguese professional photography between 1844 and 1910.
Titled “Women in Portuguese Professional Photography, 1844–1910”, the session will examine the historical contributions and visibility of women photographers during a pivotal period for the development of photography in Portugal. The lecture will also անդր broader questions related to gender, authorship, and visual culture.
The event will take place at 10:30 AM in Room FORCE F.0.1.6 and is open to the academic community and the general public.
