From September 24 to 27, the European Communication Research and Education Association (ECREA) conference took place at the University of Ljubljana, Slovenia. During the event, several researchers from CICANT were elected to the management teams of various sections of the association, reflecting the growing influence of the center within the European academic community.
Sofia Caldeira was re-elected as chair of the Digital Culture and Communication section, renewing her leadership role in this rapidly growing field.
Researcher Maria José Brites was re-elected as vice-chair of the Audience and Reception Studies section, a position she previously held. Additionally, researcher Mariana Müller was elected to the same team, now serving as Communications Officer.
In the Children, Youth and Media section, researcher Ana Filipa Oliveira was also re-elected as vice-chair, continuing her contribution to this field of study.
Meanwhile, researcher José Gomes Pinto assumed the role of vice-chair in the Philosophy of Communication section, further strengthening CICANT's presence in the more theoretical and philosophical areas of Communication.
The researchers will hold these positions for the next two years, actively contributing to the development and dynamism of ECREA, the leading European association in the fields of Communication and Education.
