CICANT researcher Carla Sousa presented at the Science Summit of the 79th United Nations General Assembly. At this event, she was part of a panel on the relevance of assistive technologies for the social inclusion of autistic people and people with intellectual disabilities. This panel is the result of the work carried out within the scope of COST Action CA19104 a-STEP, namely Working Group 2, where the evidence on the role of technology in the empowerment of this population was summarised and evaluated, and future research horizons were defined.
