With the aim of promoting media literacy and digital citizenship, YouNDigital will start a partnership project with the Information and Communication Clubs, YouNDigital & CICANT, an initiative of the Directorate-General for Education (DGE).
The YoungNDigital & Information and Communication Clubs webinar for teachers and students will take place on 27 November, between 10.30am and 11.30am, marking the start of the joint initiative. The YouNDigital & Information and Communication Clubs partnership project is structured through the joint efforts of the Directorate-General for Education (DGE) and the Centre for Research in Applied Communication, Culture and New Technologies - CICANT.
Various activities are planned as part of this partnership, including masterclasses, webinars, bootcamps, a digital writing space, meetings and a competition. The initiative is associated with the European Year of Education for Digital Citizenship 2025, promoted by the Council of Europe.
As part of the National Strategy for Citizenship Education in the Media field and the development of the Profile of Students Leaving Compulsory Schooling, the Information and Communication Clubs (TVs, radios, newspapers, newsletters, podcasts and school photography) play an important role in the process of developing different literacies and promoting active citizenship.
