CICANT Researchers Contribute to Sustainability Manual for HEIs

"How to Become a Changemaker? Manual for HEIs Sustainable Communication in Social Media" is the new publication’s title developed under the COMSUS project. This project is dedicated to empowering higher education institutions (HEIs) to foster resilient, inclusive, and sustainable societies through innovative communication practices on social media.

The manual, edited by Prof. Dr. Tuğba Uçma Uysal, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ceray Aldemir, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mehmet Avcı, includes valuable contributions from CICANT researchers Ana Oliveira and Timóteo Rodrigues, as well as Communication Sciences student Ana Lamy. They authored Chapter 2 of the publication, providing insightful perspectives and practical strategies for sustainable social media communication.

The COMSUS project addresses the critical intersection of media, communication, and sustainability, aiming to enhance awareness of environmental and climate challenges among academic and scientific communities. The project also emphasizes the importance of building social media marketing skills and promoting sustainable values through HEIs.

The manual is available for download here. It serves as a vital resource for HEIs seeking to implement sustainable communication strategies and position themselves as changemakers in addressing global challenges.
