YouNDigital and IPDJ sign partnership to strengthen youth digital literacy
The YouNDigital - Youth, News, and Digital Citizenship - project, developed by CICANT, has recently signed a cooperation agreement with the Portuguese Institute of Sport and Youth (IPDJ, IP). This partnership aims to enhance the digital and media literacy of children and young people involved in the Escolhas Program through the promotion of collaborative and educational initiatives.
With this new agreement, IPDJ and YouNDigital reinforce their commitment to providing inclusive digital opportunities, preparing new generations to face the challenges of the digital era. This initiative not only seeks to empower young people but also to foster a more active and informed citizenship.
YouNDigital (DOI 10.54499/PTDC/COM-OUT/0243/2021) focuses on youth interaction with news in the context of misinformation and the strengthening of digital citizenship. As part of this project, a newsroom for and with young people is also being developed, promoting a space for expression and learning.
