The kick-off meeting of the European project EUthentic Detectives – Fostering Media Literacy of People Who Face Cognitive Challenges, Their Caregivers, and Young Volunteers took place in Athens on 13 and 14 May 2026, hosted by the coordinating organisation Challedu.
The project brings together eight cross-sectoral organisations with the aim of strengthening media literacy skills among people facing cognitive challenges, caregivers, and young volunteers. Through innovative and inclusive methodologies, the consortium seeks to promote resilience against misinformation and support active participation in the digital environment.
CICANT/ Lusófona University was represented at the meeting by Cátia Casimiro, PhD student and member of the Portuguese team, and Margarida Santos, CICANT project manager.
As part of the consortium, Lusófona University contributes its expertise in communication, media literacy, and digital inclusion.
