In the last week of May, Teresa Sofia Castro, co-coordinator of the YouNDigital - Jovens Notícias e Cidadania Digital project and principal investigator of the Famílias i-Tech project, both funded by the Foundation for Science and Technology, presented at the Digital Citizenship Forum the work that has been carried out in these two projects as promoters of inclusion and digital and active citizenship.
The YouNDigital project - in partnership with the Directorate-General for Education and the Information and Communication Clubs - has already been present at other Council of Europe initiatives, particularly in the context of the European Year of Education for Digital Citizenship 2025.
In the same week, Maria José Brites, PI of YouNDigital, was the speaker for the first plenary session of the commemorative session of the 10th anniversary of Digital Leaders, with a lecture on Disinformation and Hate Speech: Challenges and Impacts. Margarida Maneta, the project's researcher, kicked off the partnership with the Filipa de Vilhena Secondary School with two workshops for secondary school students, entitled Between the lines of Artificial Intelligence: readings of the world.
