The GEECT Thematic Meeting 2026 is now accepting proposals for the conference “Research in Film Schools in Turbulent Times”, taking place on 17–18 September 2026 in Babelsberg, Germany.
Organised by Filmuniversität Babelsberg KONRAD WOLF and La Fémis, with the support of GEECT, the event will focus on current research practices in film and media schools, including artistic research, interdisciplinary collaborations, technological innovation, and partnerships with industry and civil society.
Researchers, academics, artists, and professionals are invited to submit proposals related to areas such as practice-based research, social impact, knowledge transfer, postgraduate research, and institutional innovation.
Proposals (maximum 300 words, plus a short bio) must be submitted by 1 June 2026. The conference language is English.
