New publication by researcher Ana Jorge under the On & Off project

The book Young People in Digital Environments. Agency, Risks and Opportunities, edited by Terhi-Anna Wilska and Jenni Nyrhinen and published by Edward Elgar Publishing, has recently been released and features a contribution from CICANT researcher Ana Jorge.

The chapter, entitled Everyday Digital Parenting: datafication, mediation and sharenting, co-authored with Francisca Porfírio and Rita Grácio, examines the role of parenting practices in the digital everyday, addressing phenomena such as datafication, parental mediation and sharenting — the online sharing of information and images about children — while discussing the social and ethical implications of these behaviours.

This publication is part of the On & Off project, which investigates the digital experiences of children, young people, and families, aiming to understand better the challenges and opportunities emerging from these interactions.

More information about the chapter is available at: https://doi.org/10.4337/9781035329250.00015.
