Webinar “Verse and Reverse: Camões’ Voice Across Generations” takes place on June 9

The Virtual Museum of Lusophony, integrated into CECS – Communication and Society Research Centre at the University of Minho –, in partnership with LabCLIP of CICANT – Centre for Research in Applied Communication, Culture, and New Technologies at Lusófona University, will host the webinar “Verse and Reverse: Camões’ Voice Across Generations” on June 9.

The initiative aims to promote discussion around the study of Luís de Camões across different generations, reflecting on how his work is read, interpreted, and revisited by younger generations in contemporary society.

The event will take place exclusively online at the following times:

  • 1:00 PM (Brazil)
  • 3:00 PM (Cape Verde)
  • 4:00 PM (São Tomé and Príncipe and Guinea-Bissau)
  • 5:00 PM (Portugal and Angola)
  • 6:00 PM (Mozambique)

The webinar will feature Professor António Carlos Cortez (CEHUM, University of Minho) and students Ana Miranda, Beatriz Alvarez, Maria Carvalho, Leonor Espírito Santo, and Teresa Rodrigues (Lusófona University).

The session will be moderated by Professor Lurdes Macedo and is expected to last approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes.

Participation certificates will be issued upon request.

The webinar is free to attend via Microsoft Teams.
