CECAM - the Centre for Excellence in Pedagogical Innovation in Film and Media Arts at Lusófona University - was featured at Creative Skills Week 2025, a leading European forum on skills transformation in the cultural and creative sectors.
Representing the centre, CICANT researcher and deputy coordinator André Rui Graça outlined CECAM’s mission and strategic vision. His presentation introduced the four core pillars - Academia, Inovatio, Construere and Curricula - showing how they respond to the challenges identified in the Cyanotypes - Strategic Skills for Creative Futures framework.
Graça highlighted CECAM’s commitment to reskilling educators through continuous professional development, fostering co-creation and experimentation via living labs, and promoting innovative pedagogical models that can be applied across disciplines. He also underlined the centre’s role in anticipating future skills needs and connecting higher education to the cultural and creative industries at both national and European levels.
CECAM’s participation reinforced its position as a key driver of pedagogical innovation within the FILMEU - European University for Film and Media Arts alliance, bridging the gap between academia and the rapidly evolving creative economy.
