The De Gruyter Handbook of Creative Industries has recently been published and features a chapter co-authored by CICANT’s Researcher Rita Grácio, Researcher André Rui Graça, and Research Assistant Amanda Pirola — together with international collaborators Matthew Kitching, Soenke Zehle, Sónia Alves, and David Crombie.
The chapter, entitled Mapping and “Futuring” Strategic Competencies for the Creative Workforce: A European Outlook, explores the strategic competencies needed for the European creative workforce in the transition to a digital and green economy and society. Drawing on the EU-funded project CYANOTYPES (101056314-CYANOTYPES-ERASMUS-EDU-2021-PI-ALL-INNO), it identifies entrepreneurial, digital, and environmental skills, and introduces The Creative Agency Circle, an open tool designed to support innovation, training, and collaboration across the Cultural and Creative Industries (CCI).
