WIRE by FilmEU invites PhD candidates from the FilmEU Alliance to present their research at the PhD Seminar in Artistic Research, taking place in person on 15 April 2026 during the WIRE Summit, hosted by Lusófona University, Lisbon.
The seminar offers a collaborative space for doctoral researchers to share ongoing work, engage in critical discussion, and receive feedback from peers and experts. It is open to PhD candidates at all stages of their doctoral studies.
Participants will deliver a 20-minute presentation in a flexible format, focusing on a specific research question, challenge, or issue related to artistic research. The seminar will be conducted in English and is open to all WIRE Summit participants.
Application requirements
Applicants must submit:
- A short motivation letter
- An abstract of the PhD project (max. 300 words)
- A description of the presentation format (max. 150 words)

- Submission deadline: 6 February 2026
- Notification of acceptance: 12 February 2026
Selected PhD candidates are encouraged to take part in additional activities for doctoral researchers, including the PhD Café, DOCTUS Training, and the ARE26 Exhibition.
