CICANT's researchers at XI National Symposium on Research in Psychology

Carla Cerqueira, Célia Taborda Silva, Daniel Cardodo and Lurdes Macedo participated in the XI National Symposium on Research in Psychology (SNIP 2022). 

The researcher Carla Cerqueira organized and chaired two symposiums with Maria Helena Santos (CIS-ISCTE) about "Gender asymmetries in public and private spheres" and "From gender inequalities, discrimination and invisibilities to strategies of activism and agency". The CICANT researchers participated in these symposiums and presented diverse papers. Lurdes Macedo (Co-PI) and Carla Cerqueira (PI) presented the paper "Women's participation in development in Portugal: Gender roles and political leadership", included in the project "Network voices: Women's participation in development processes in Portugal" funded by ILIND. Daniel Cardoso presented the paper "Maybe they can identify with my story": Challenges and potentialities of activism by therapists in and about CNM". Carla Cerqueira (PI), Célia Taborda (Co-PI) and Ana Sofia Pereira (postdoc fellow) presented the paper "History and stories of feminist activism in Portugal: protagonists, agendas and struggles", included in the project FEMglocal - Glocal feminist movements: interactions and contradictions project, funded by FCT. Carla Cerqueira, Maria João Silveirinha, Bibiana Garcez, Susana Sampaio Dias, João Miranda and Bruno Dias presented the paper "Women journalists and online harassment: when sexism is part of everyday life". Mariana Muller, Mariana Helena Santos and Carla Cerqueira participated with a paper entitled "Cultural and creative sector in Portugal in the context of the pandemic de Covid-19: Gender asymmetries and precariousness". 

The conference, the most relevant at the national level in the field of Psychology, took place between 20 and 22 June, in UTAD, Vila Real.
