CICANT's researchers at 11th European Feminist Research Conference

Carla Cerqueira, Célia Taborda Silva and Sofia Caldeira participated in the 11th European Feminist Research Conference entitled "Social Change in a Feminist Perspective".

CICANT's researchers Carla Cerqueira (PI) and Célia Taborda (Co-PI) presented the first steps of the FEMglocal - Glocal feminist movements: interactions and contradictions project, funded by FCT. The CICANT researchers participated in several thematic sessions, presented the paper "Between global and local in Portuguese feminist movements" (Célia Taborda and Carla Cerqueira), "Feminism and cyberactivism during pandemic: the 8M movement in Portugal" (Camila Lamartine, Marisa Torres da Silva and Carla Cerqueira), "Instagramming Feminisms in Portugal: An exploratory look into the portuguese landscape of feminist hashtags on Instagram" and Roundtable about quantitative feminist methodologies (Sofia P. Caldeira).

The researcher Carla Cerqueira chaired a panel session about "Digital Activism".

The conference, one of the most relevant at the international level in the field of feminist studies, took place between 15 and 18 June, at the University of Milano Bicocca, Milan, Italy.
